Stevenson’s army, June 25
– US intelligence says it warned senior officials of Prigozhin’s plot on Wed, and told the chosen few in Congress on Thurs, according to NYT. They also bragged to WaPo.
– WaPo also tells how Russia clamped down on the media during the crisis.
– What does it mean? Weakened Putin, uncertainty in Ukraine, read David Ignatius and Tom Nichols.

Ukraine would be a much safer place for Prigozhin than Belarus. We know from Teixeira’s document dump that UKR mil intel and Prigozhin have each others’ phone numbers.
And ISW reports tonight (25 June) that his PR operation has issued theatrically cryptic messages that he “sends regards” and will answer questions “when he’s on normal communications.”
And a Prigozhin-linked Tekegram channel published an AI-generated photo of Prigozhin with his finger to his lips and the caption “plans love silence” — a Ukrainian motto for operational security.
His defection would be a major propaganda coup.
